prolong your healthy lifespan

what is longevity

Longevity is a field of research that focuses on prolonging the healthy human lifespan. It has seen significant increase in popularity throughout the recent years.

The concept circles around principles and methods to extend humans healthy lifespan, tackling modern diseases and western lifestyles.

Why is that important?

Everyone wants to life a fulfilling life. Health is a corner stone of that. With increasing numbers in modern diseases, we need new ways to get and stay healthy.

Health is essential to live a joyful and fulfilling life. We take our health oftentimes as granted, but there are numerous genetic and epigenetic factors that can influence our health today and in future.

We at ada understand longevity as a holistic concept circling around five pillars:

nutrition, exercise, sleep, mental wellbeing and social purpose.

As recent research shows, there is a significant impact on health through the microbiome. You have millions of organisms living in your gut, on your skin and in your mouth. Those living bacteria influences your inner and outer physical health as well as your psychological wellbeing.

Did you know, that your gut microbiome is communicating with your brain and with your nerve system?

That's why at ada, we particularly pay attention to the circumstances, such as food, exercise and sleep, that affect your microbiome.

our principles

enjoyability

Once you start adapting your habits towards a more healthy and sustainable lifestyle, we at ada strongly belief you have to enjoy it.

Changing a humans habits or routines isn't easy, so nurturing your change with positive emotions and feelings is key to achieve your dream.

As world-renowned physician, author, and owner of the podcast "Feel better, life more" Rangan Chatterjee has put it:

Actually, it's not repetition that creates habits. It's emotions that create habits.

At ada, we thrive to make every step of your journey towards a healthy and happy life enjoyable, and are on your side during the progress.

individuality

Each body is an entire unique ecosystem.

Respecting that, we at ada acknowledge that each body has different needs, an unique DNA as well as microbiome and genetic footprint.

With the expanding research of epigenetic, which describes the external and internal factors affecting our genetic like the food we eat, the way we exercise, and the quality we recover during sleep, we as humans start to understand the impact of such on our genetic. Your epigenetic is as individual as your human genetic. Understanding your genetics is the first step in our journey, followed by customizing activities to improve your epigenetic and through that prolong a healthy life.

That's why for us at ada it's important to tailor your health plan based on your individuality and genetic footprint.

During our intake call, we will assess potential genetic diseases and provide a nutrition plan that can potentially help to proactively prevent diseases of happening.

adaptability

Consistently throughout the recent longevity studies one always sticks out for me: Back to our roots.

Whether it is focusing on our social belonging, having strong loving relationships, getting enough quality sleep, as well as exercising regularly and focusing on high-quality, limited and unprocessed food intake.

For nutrition, we at ada think less is more. Why that?
Studies have shown, that:

  • less food intake,
  • less processed food,
  • less transportation of food, and
  • less artificial ingredients,

are better for the microbiome and overall health.

Mental wellbeing has become more important in the last decade, with studies shown there is an connectivity between the brain, the gut, and the humans physical health. As Dr. Amend put it in words:

You are not what you think you are, but what you think, you are.

But what is this all about, if we cannot incorporate it into our modern lifestyle? That's why at ada we believe those longevity principles must be adapted into a modern diet and lifestyle.
